This is an internally focused role with high executive visibility, emphasizing data-driven financial insights to support internal teams in maximizing business growth and strategic impact. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Strategic Investment & Impact Analysis: Lead ROI analyses for strategic projects and significant resourcing initiatives, measuring the impact of strategic recommendations. Develop models and provide data-backed recommendations to senior leadership, including M&A opportunities. Strategic Resourcing: Own the financial and reporting aspects of the global resourcing prioritization strategy, modeling and reporting on headcount and investments across high-cost US roles and lower-cost India-based roles. Top-Line Revenue Forecasting: Develop revenue models for products, including geography segmentation, in collaboration with Sales Operations and IBM Finance. Model IBM synergy business cases to show how products impact revenue growth. Corporate Development & M&A: Serve as the strategic finance expert for corporate development and M&A opportunities, providing financial context and analysis to guide decisions. Executive Communication & Partnership: Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations on complex financial insights and strategic recommendations to R&D leadership and product group heads, ensuring clear communication for executive stakeholders. Other responsibilities as required by the business unit. This job can be performed from anywhere in the US. Qualifications

Required

8+ years of progressive experience in finance or consulting, with preference for Investment Banking, Strategic Finance at a technology company, Corporate FP&A, or Management Consulting with a finance focus. Advanced Excel for complex financial modeling. Strong SQL skills for independent data extraction and analysis. Data-driven mindset with ability to leverage data to inform strategic decisions and build strategic frameworks. Action-oriented with a demonstrated ability to drive projects forward despite challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence to influence senior decisions. Preferred

Experience with data analysis (Python, etc.) and BI tools (Sigma, Tableau). Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related quantitative field (MBA or equivalent). Experience navigating financial reporting in large, complex organizations (post-acquisition integration, etc.). Familiarity with software product lifecycle economics and investment analysis. Experience with data analysis (Python, etc.) and BI tools (Sigma or Tableau). Job Details
