Location: May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Hanover, MD. Summary Elevance Health is seeking an exceptional technology executive to serve as Staff Vice President, Staff VP Tech Strategy & Integration – Mergers & Acquisitions, a pivotal leadership role responsible for executing the company’s merger and acquisition (M&A) technology strategy, leading enterprise integration, and driving transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, eliminate technology debt, and enhance productivity across the enterprise. This leader will work cross-functionally to assess, acquire, and integrate technology capabilities from external partnerships or acquisitions, while also championing internal modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine business acumen and technical expertise, change leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset to support Elevance Health’s mission to improve the health of humanity. Team Scope

6-7 Direct Reports Position Responsibilities

Mergers, Acquisitions, & Integration Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, and Enterprise Strategy to assess technology implications of M&A targets. Lead technology due diligence for acquisitions and partnerships, evaluating platforms, architecture, scalability, and technical risk. Develop and execute technology integration strategies aligned with Elevance’s enterprise architecture and standards. Oversee end-to-end post-merger technology integration including infrastructure, applications, data, security, and talent. Continuous Improvement & Modernization Establish and lead a technology continuous improvement program that targets efficiency gains and service quality enhancements. Identify and prioritize areas to modernize legacy systems, rationalize platforms, and sunset redundant or low-value assets. Introduce best practices in DevOps, automation, observability, and agile delivery to accelerate innovation and responsiveness. Tech Debt Elimination Create and drive a structured program to reduce enterprise tech debt, aligned with security, resilience, and performance goals. Partner with architecture, infrastructure, and application teams to catalog, prioritize, and remediate tech debt across domains. Productivity & Efficiency Enablement Define KPIs and metrics to measure technology efficiency, delivery velocity, and cost optimization. Implement cross-functional productivity improvement initiatives leveraging AI, automation, workflow orchestration, and shared services. Foster a culture of operational excellence and measurable outcomes. Position Requirements

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise technology, with at least 5 years in senior-level roles. Strong experience in managing M&A technology strategy, integration, and business transformation. Experience in large-scale tech modernization and IT operational efficiency programs. Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and agile/DevOps delivery models. Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA or equivalent executive education preferred. Deep experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or finance. Exceptional cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Locations: Maryland Salary range: $221,920 to $349,524, subject to a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors and geographic location.
