Overview
Regional Collector Associate - REMOTE at Ryder System, Inc. Responsibilities
Manage collection activities for a regional portfolio of accounts. Maintain communications with customers to maximize financial results by reducing Days Revenue Outstanding (DRO), lowering the portion of the portfolio over 30 days delinquent, and minimizing bad debt expense. Analyze and monitor the assigned portfolio; decide actions such as ceasing services, restricting or terminating services, and enforcing terms to protect Ryder's financial interests. Collaborate with Ryder Operations Leadership, Rental Leadership, and the Sales Team to coordinate actions, address billing disputes, and participate in calls and meetings with Ryder leadership. Provide regular updates to Finance, Operations, and Sales leadership on receivables, bad debt forecasts, and dispute information. Participate in projects or focus groups related to enhancements in Collections, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, and Billing. Additional Responsibilities
Develop documentation and user manuals as directed. Work with customers and management at all levels to mitigate losses, improve receivables metrics, and preserve customer relationships. Analyze financial, credit, and operational data to plan and execute collections strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities

High School diploma or GED required Associate’s degree preferred in business, accounting, financial or related field Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, accounting, financial or related field One year or more in commercial collections required Two years or more in accounting/financial roles with a High School Diploma required 0 to one year in accounting/financial roles with an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree required MS Office Suite intermediate Job Details
