What You'll Do
Design, improve, and maintain the core package set that supports software distribution across Anduril, including creating internal tooling and establishing standards. Plan architectural changes and support users of the package set; provide expertise for usage of Nix at large scale and assist in training other engineers. Operate autonomously in a complex environment and break down intricate problems into simple, workable solutions. Required Qualifications
Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS, and functional programming in general. Deep understanding of build systems and packaging ecosystems; ability to dive into large, complicated systems and improve them with Nix. Experience with one or more of the following languages: Rust, C++, Go, Python, Haskell. U.S. Person status is required as this role involves access to export controlled data. Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing cloud resources (e.g., AWS). Experience with modern build and deployment tooling and continuous integration (e.g., NixOS, Terraform). Experience designing complex software systems and iterating designs through technical design reviews. Familiarity with standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools and practices. Bias toward rapid delivery and iteration. Salary and Benefits
US Salary Range:
$191,000—$253,000
USD. The salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and business considerations. Equity grants are included in full-time offers as part of total compensation. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans; and other programs across regions, including relocation assistance where eligible. Additional Information
