Hyatt The Lifestyle Group at Hyatt is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Head of PR to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for driving all PR strategies for the Lifestyle brand portfolio, specifically Standard, Standard X, Thompson, Dream and Andaz. This position is responsible for fully integrating public relations into each brand’s overall consumer marketing plans and communications objectives ensuring programs drive consumer action as well as brand distinction and leverage the power of The Lifestyle Group portfolio of brands. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with PR agencies to plan monthly, quarterly, and yearly cultural moments for our hotels, ensuring alignment with brand principles in collaboration with the Global Head of Marketing and Culture. Oversee the work of hotels and local PR agencies, setting priorities in partnership with Lifestyle’s Director of Marketing & Culture. Ensure agencies follow our cultural calendar and property-specific needs to maintain momentum, especially as many of our hotels are well-established. Be in constant touch with lifestyle, fashion, design, business, real estate, travel press for timely news hooks. Manage the onboarding and oversight of PR agencies for new properties, handling everything from press strategy to influencer partnerships and opening events. Ensure consistent, impactful, and culture-defining work across brand campaigns, product launches, daily brand execution, and meaningful partnerships that reinforce our identity. Own and lead strategy for various partnerships and communications while working in lockstep with marketing team across organic social media, editorial platforms, brand activations, influencer marketing. Develop and implement a 360° PR and communications strategy for the Lifestyle portfolio by executing innovative, non-traditional tactics to drive media coverage across travel, culinary, lifestyle, business, and tech. Lead brand storytelling and public relations for all brands within scope of role, managing influencer programs, collaborating with the marketing team on consumer-facing campaigns, and supporting select property-level PR efforts targeting key publications. Media pitching to secure key placements in multiple verticals. Facilitate all media requests and manage press inbox. Connect, maintain, and build relationships with media, KOL, and potential partners. Conduct and organize press conferences, media interviews, broadcasts opportunities, FAM trips, and media visits. Develop press releases, fact sheets, media statements, briefing documents, FAQs, and talking points. Work with the property PR teams to develop KPI measurement and reporting processes to assess and share results on a regular basis. Monitor and measure team and company success using tools and resources available and deliver goals and metrics on a timely basis to senior management. Manage agencies with key performance indicators relating to all marketing and PR activities, promotions, and campaigns, and produce performance reports for all key stakeholders. Aware of media events and activities of competitors and trends and share with team members. Conduct analysis and prepare detailed budgets recommendations for pre-opening projects, ensuring alignment with budget forecasts. Develop and secure strategic partnerships for brand pillar moments—events and collaborations that draw significant attention on both a national and global scale. Qualifications:
8+ years of managerial and communications experience in public relations. Experience in the hotel industry, lifestyle/fashion, and business PR is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field is required. Experience & ability to execute PR strategies, engagement, and execution, whether it be local, regional, or global. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and influencer marketing. Outstanding communication skills in English. Multilingual Preferred. Outstanding written communication and editing skills. Highly connected with media, and notable influencers/KOL. Can multi-task and work under pressure. Native Copywriting skills. Great social skills. The salary range for this role is $166,250 - $183,750, plus incentive. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
