The Director, Business Information Services – Market Access, will drive the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of commercial systems for the Dermatology Business Unit, specifically the market and patient access teams. This highly technical leadership role is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions across CRM, Business Intelligence (BI), data platforms, and other critical commercial systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations. Responsibilities
Develop the technical roadmap and system architecture for commercial platforms, including CRM (Veeva/Salesforce), BI (Power BI), data integration pipelines, and master data management. Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, UI/UX design, architecture review, development oversight, QA/testing, deployment, and maintenance. Design and oversee scalable system integrations, including APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes across internal systems and third-party data sources (e.g., IQVIA, claims, SP data). Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and prioritized development plans. Guide solution design in partnership with system architects and data engineers to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance. Manage a team of developers, business analysts, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technology initiatives. Ensure ongoing data integrity, availability, and compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11). Proactively monitor production systems, address issues, and implement system optimizations. Lead change management, end-user training, and system adoption strategies across the organization. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8+ years of progressive technical experience in Commercial IT, Sales Operations, or enterprise application development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional technical teams and managing vendor/partner relationships, leveraging a collaborative and proactive style to align business objectives with technology solutions. Proven experience architecting and managing pharmaceutical commercial systems, including: CRM platforms: Veeva CRM (preferred), Salesforce Patient Support Hubs BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik ETL and data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Talend) Data warehousing and modeling (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server) Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business processes, including patient support life cycle, copay and other affordability programs, prior authorization support and patient assistance programs Experience with payer and Pharmacy contracting including rebate analysis and fraud investigations Experience working with diverse pharmaceutical data sources: claims data (FIA, Copay, Specialty Pharmacy), and digital/multi-channel engagement data, Copay and affordability programs Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements: HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11 Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Disclaimer:
