The Branding and Marketing Department (BAM) focuses on the development and maintenance of the public-facing website TheLibraryDistrict.org, the mobile app, and the employee intranet. The website serves as the digital front door to the Library District, is managed by the BAM team, and supports brand, engagement, and access to library services and resources. The Senior Digital Content Specialist-Website acts as the District’s webmaster, shaping online content and user experience. This role collaborates with all departments and the website host (BiblioCommons), the Senior Digital Content Specialist for Social Media, the IT Department, the mobile app team, and the intranet as an internal communications platform. General Summary Under the general supervision of the Branding & Marketing Director, the Senior Digital Content Specialist-Website supports marketing and communication goals through the development of dynamic content on the Library District’s website. This position enhances the Library District’s brand and online reputation through digital content management and SEO. The role uses web analytics to improve key performance indicators such as new website users, dwell time, bounce rate, social media engagement, audience demographics, and mobile app downloads. The role also manages content on the employee intranet and drives content marketing campaigns for diverse customer demographics within the district. Description of hours and wages The pay range for this position is $99,876 to $133,844 per year. Pay typically begins at the minimum of the pay range, with eligibility for annual merit and COLA increases per District policy. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), FLSA exempt position. We anticipate interviewing for this position on or around October 30, 2025. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and executes the Library District’s web content strategy and maintains standards, including UX and UI considerations, to ensure WCAG accessibility and equitable engagement for all users.
Collaborates with the Senior Digital Content Specialist-Social Media to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions across web and social channels.
Audits and maintains the website content inventory using a CMS; coordinates updates for accuracy, accessibility, and SEO compliance.
Analyzes data to inform content marketing, SEO, and website functionality improvements.
Implements an editorial calendar for timely marketing campaigns on the website and mobile app.
Manages content on the employee intranet and collaborates with departments to support information sharing and staff engagement.
Works with BAM team members to develop video, photos, graphics, and copy; manages all content on the Library District website.
Monitors industry best practices and compiles metrics for monthly trend reports.
Monitors and responds to customer reviews and surveys to improve the digital customer experience (CX).
Serves as the District’s web platform expert and provides staff training.
Promotes the Library District’s mission through professional, courteous interactions with the public and staff; supports a positive workplace environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Communications with concentrations in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Web Analytics, Data Analytics, or related field.

Experience
Required
Five (5) years of professional experience in website content development.
Preferred
Five (5) years overseeing digital and website content for a major brand, with familiarity with current social media trends.
License and Certification
Required
Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Nevada Driver’s License at the time of hire.
Physical Requirements Work is primarily in an office setting. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally move files or books. Limited walking or standing may be necessary. Benefits
