Responsibilities : As a Residential Designer, primary responsibilities include prospecting and sales, client home design, product knowledge, and administrative tasks. Specific duties include: Prospecting and sales: help guests design a home they'll love, assist with financing options, create invoices, and schedule deliveries. Client home design: create innovative designs within clients' budgets, meet with clients, measure and draw floor plans, choose colors and develop a paint/color palette, and provide additional design services. Product knowledge: stay up-to-date with new product information and industry news. Administrative tasks: ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting, complete timesheets, mileage reports, and design reporting. Requirements : Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, one to five years of experience in a related field, interior design license preferred, custom closet design background a plus, and must be bilingual. Work Environment and Schedule : Ability to work evenings and weekends, navigate large showrooms, and be on your feet for 8 hours a day, with a 40-hour-per-week schedule and 50% travel. Physical and Technology Requirements : Ability to guide customers throughout the showroom, knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and use of an iPad for training and transactions.
