Overview
Rosewood Sand Hill, A Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an Income Auditor. This role is responsible for the accounting of daily income from all guest charges, F&B outlets, and 3rd parties. The Income Auditor will audit and verify all revenue transactions, preparing daily and monthly sales and other reports for management according to hotel policies and procedures. Responsible for reviewing adjustments made by associates and identifying discrepancies for research and correction. Assist with finance daily tasks as needed in the department. Responsibilities
Audit, prepare, and distribute daily revenue reports and audit reports to management. Verify postings, payments, rebates, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies. Review room rates, discounts, and packages to ensure proper application and approval. Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies or adjustments in coordination with operational departments. Maintain organized records of audit results, reports, and backup documentation. Reconcile Travel Agent and group commissions on a weekly and monthly basis. Assist with monthly closing procedures and provide support for financial reporting. Support external/internal audit processes and any ad-hoc project as required. Qualifications
Experience: Minimum one year of accounting experience; prior hotel/resort experience preferred. Working knowledge of Excel greatly preferred; ability to expand on knowledge appreciated. Education: High school diploma or college preferred, especially with business or related education. General Skills: Must be detail-oriented, able to work with speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow up; clear thinker, stay calm, resolve problems with good judgment; follow directions; understand guest service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Technical Skills: Ability to input information into and access the accounting system; maintain concentration and think clearly; prioritize, organize and follow up; promote positive relations with vendors and associates; communicate professionally in accordance with Forbes 5 star standards; maintain confidentiality; work with minimal supervision; stay stationary at post for extended periods; focus on details and resolve numerical problems; collaborate with other departments. Language: Must speak, read, and write English for business and accounting purposes. Physical Requirements: Ability to exert physical effort up to 20 pounds, perform various movements, reach, remain stationary at times, and communicate with guests and co-workers.
