Job Summary:
Mission Health is seeking an
Emergency Medicine Psychiatrist
to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, located in Asheville, North Carolina. Qualified Candidates: Board certified or board eligible
Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
Willing to work in inpatient setting
Provide Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians
Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services: 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
Active ECT program
Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointment possible
