The Dentist (Endodontist) serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures within the scope of endodontics specialty for the Albuquerque VA - Raymond G. Murphy Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center - New Mexico Health Care System within VISN 22 Desert Pacific Healthcare Network.
Duties
Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions Administer local anesthesia Perform routine and complex endodontic procedures Perform simple and complex endodontic surgical procedures Perform root-end fillings Perform temporary restorations of teeth Place posts and core on teeth as indicated Other associated dental procedures consistent with the scope performed by Endodontist in the community Be able to review CT scan pertinent to endodontic assessment as indicated Work Environment
