Job Summary:
Mission Hospital is seeking general neurohospitalists to join a busy and expansive comprehensive stroke center located in Asheville, North Carolina.
Qualified Candidates:
Board certified or board eligible in neurology
Stroke training is a plus
New and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
FT and PT
Shifts Available
Position Overview: Join an established group of Hospitalists and APPs
Hybrid
inpatient
consultative
neurology covering general, stroke, ICU and all emergent neurological care
Radiologist physicians do the interventional procedures
Shift based, days only; No night responsibilities
7 on/off scheduling available
Teaching opportunities available

About Mission Hospital / Mission Neurology: Mission Hospital, licensed for 815 beds, is the flagship hospital of Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare and the state’s sixth largest health system.
Serves as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care in western North Carolina and the adjoining region
Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
Provides regional tele-stroke
12-bed Neuroscience ICU
36-bed dedicated neuroscience and stroke unit
Interventional Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery
Level III Epilepsy Center
Houses the region’s only dedicated Level II trauma center
