The position focuses on advancing clinical expertise in Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) over a 12-month period. The instructor will independently perform procedures in standard interventional endoscopy (EGD, COLO, ERCP, EUS) while actively participating in the procedural training of ESD, supporting the division’s commitment to high-quality, minimally invasive care for patients with gastrointestinal lesions. By the end of the 12 months, the clinical instructor is expected to be competent in ESD, POEM, and Full Thickness Resection. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, patient-centered care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance procedural outcomes and patient experience. Responsibilities
Independently perform EGD, COLO, ERCP, EUS to support the growing advanced endoscopy practice. Assist in performing ESD procedures under expert supervision. Hands-on participation in ESD/POEM cases under direct expert supervision. Participate in clinical case reviews, patient consultations, and post-procedural care. Engage in educational activities in the section. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical documentation. Support the development of clinical protocols and best practices in advanced endoscopy. Minimum Qualifications
MD or equivalent with training in gastroenterology. Post-terminal degree, residency or fellowship training in gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy.
