Overview
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Riley at Riley Children\'s Health. New hire bonus available. Monitors patients during exams for safety. Documents necessary information in EMR. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Responsibilities
Operate imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Prepare patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly. Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follow radiation safety protocols. Document detailed patient history and maintain accurate records in the EMR. Monitor patients during exam for safety and comfort. Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Qualifications
Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when patient condition does not permit routine positioning. Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire. Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or current ISDH Radiology Student Permit. Employment type
