Department of Behavioral Health Sciences
provides comprehensive psychiatric care in a private, patient-centered environment. With over 1,450 discharges per year, it is considered to be one of the most active comprehensive mental health centers on Staten Island. Our 35-bed inpatient unit provides short-term hospital care to evaluate and stabilize patients with acute psychiatric disorders. There is a strong focus on returning patients to normal functioning as soon as possible while rebuilding self-esteem and improving socialization. Opportunity to supervise residents and teach medical students. No call requirement. Moonlighting opportunities within the institution.
