General Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty Position- ESJH

Emory University
– The Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics seeks experienced physicians for an academic career in general obstetrics and gynecology. The position will hold the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will be based at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include teaching medical students and residents; participation in the Obstetric Rapid Response Team; inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecologic surgery. Candidates should be comfortable providing a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic care to medically complex patients. The faculty member is expected to serve the University in teaching, research, and clinical service appropriate to their professional training and career goals.
Primary clinical responsibilities include participation in all clinical activities of the Division at Emory, particularly at The Emory Clinic, Emory University Hospitals, Grady Memorial Hospital, and affiliated sites.
Deliver excellent care to patients while growing and expanding access for routine obstetrical and gynecological patients in Emory clinical practices.
Participate in in-house labor and delivery call coverage and function as a member of the Obstetrical Rapid Response Team with the Division.
Supervise mid-level providers assigned to the clinical practice location.
Teaching and Professional Activities
Providing teaching instruction and supervision to residents and medical students in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Providing lectures to fellows, residents and medical students as requested.
Attending Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings, and other departmental activities.
Participating in mentorship of medical students and residents.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME obstetrics and gynecology residency
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board is required prior to commencement of employment
