As an Estimator, you’ll deliver precise estimating services for conceptual and hard bid projects across diverse contract types, specializing in complex commercial and institutional construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to define project scope and estimate requirements.
  • Develop conceptual, self-perform, hard bid, and GMP estimates for complex projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and man-hour-based estimates using historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis.
  • Provide risk analysis, constructability reviews, and value engineering support during preconstruction.
  • Collaborate with operations teams on bid evaluations and subcontractor selection.
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support all estimate figures.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of estimating experience on commercial/institutional projects up to $150M.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent technical training/experience).
  • Expertise in self-perform work and at-risk GC/CM delivery methods.
  • Proven experience in sectors like healthcare, life sciences, higher education, food & beverage manufacturing, data centers, or similar complex facilities.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, cost control systems, and engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to independently manage complex proposals with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with preconstruction teams, project teams, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Candidates with 5-7 years of strong estimating experience and a drive to tackle complex projects are encouraged to apply—we value potential and problem-solving skills.
