Position Summary: The Event Marketing Manager is charged with building brand awareness and generating sales leads by recruiting, hiring, training, and managing a dynamic team of Event Marketers in their designated area. This role will also involve identifying direct-to-consumer events, overseeing budgets, planning resources, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring successful event execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement event-based marketing initiatives that drive sales leads for follow-up by sales representatives.
  • Identify and develop an event calendar for the Event Marketers in the designated area.
  • Manage budgeting and staffing for local events.
  • Attend and oversee various events, including trade shows, fairs, and community gatherings to generate new sales leads.
  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of marketing materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with local Operations and Installation Managers to enhance brand visibility.
  • Recruit, train, and develop Event Marketers while establishing clear goals and performance metrics.
  • Create organized plans and timelines for effective communication across the organization.
  • Track and report on event performance metrics to assess ROI.
  • Surpass established sales lead quotas based on key performance indicators.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficient in recruiting and training.
  • Experience with large-scale budgeting and planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and mentor others.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of current best practices and innovative strategies in event marketing.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends for scheduled events.
  • Adept at shifting focus between tasks as needed to meet diverse stakeholder demands.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Accountable and driven in achieving objectives.
  • Attention to detail and an emphasis on efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills across various levels.
  • Skilled at connecting ideas, evaluating arguments, and solving complex problems.
  • Providing timely and empathetic service through various communication channels.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for event attendance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Experience in lead generation and/or experiential marketing.
  • Prior management experience in Direct-to-Consumer marketing.
  • Experience with multi-unit management.
  • Background in home improvement event marketing.

Travel Requirements: More than 50% domestic travel is required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements: Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environments including indoor offices and outdoor settings.
  • Light physical work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
