RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead role in the development, preparation and monitoring of operating budgets and forecasts, statistical/operational reports, cost accounting reports, financial analysis and business development projects while providing high quality, responsive customer service.
Serves as a financial consultant to executive/management teams to ensure financial goals/objectives for assigned departments, divisions, and service lines are met.
Coordinates reporting activities; prepares and maintains the computerized financial and operative systems (ERP) and reports for evaluating and analyzing the Medical Center's financial performance; facilitates, develops and prepares financial analysis of existing and new programs and initiatives, variance comparisons (actual to budget, actual to actual, and budget to budget), etc.
Coordinates or performs maintenance on departments and accounts, allocation statistics, and RVUs for cost accounting purposes.
Responsible for coordination and execution of special projects as assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential: sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
Continuous: finger dexterity.
Occasional: standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting body, lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
Operates calculator, typewriter, computer, facsimile, copier.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare finance or related field.
CPA or MBA preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years progressive experience in finance, preferably in healthcare.
Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Experience to demonstrate:
Knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and analysis, financial modeling and forecasting.
Ability to develop and maintain PC worksheets of high complexity.
Ability to extract and report off relational databases.
Ability work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assigned tasks effectively and efficiently with high quality customer service.
Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and critical thinking skills.
