Overview
As a Psychiatrist for the center, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of a brand-new behavioral health initiative with a meaningful impact on the community.
Responsibilities Monday to Friday schedule
Provide psychiatric care to adult patients (adult patients only)
Collaborate within two programs: 23-hour crisis stabilization and up to 7-day inpatient care
Deliver care in a trauma-informed setting focused on reducing unnecessary high-acuity visits
Qualifications Must have experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatment

With 401 beds, more than 1,100 nurses and more than 800 doctors, Providence Alaska Medical Center is the largest and most comprehensive hospital in the state and the only one with a dedicated Children’s Hospital. A nationally recognized Level II trauma center, this hospital features heart and cancer centers, Alaska’s largest emergency department with LifeMed Alaska air ambulance transport, full diagnostic, rehabilitation and surgical services, and inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse recovery services for adults and children.
