Overview
Kapi\u2019olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai\u2019i\'s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is recognized as Hawai\u2019i\'s leader in care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year and is a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai\u2019i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi\u2019olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi\u2019olani Women\u2019s Center and the Women\u2019s Cancer Center, and offers community programs and services such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi\u2019olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center. Kapi\u2019olani\'s Audiology department is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing audiology services and consultation for inpatients and outpatients at the central location and contract sites. The department includes the Cochlear Implant Team, formed in 2005 to provide critical services so that children can enter the world of sound without having to leave Hawai\u2019i for specialized treatment. The team also includes an ear, nose and throat specialist, an audiologist, a speech/language pathologist, a clinical psychologist, a social worker, a physical and occupational therapist, and a school liaison as appropriate to the patient\u2019s age. Responsibilities
As an Audiologist, you will play a key role in helping the Rehabilitation Services department at Hawai\u2019i Pacific Health hospitals and clinics provide life-changing care to inpatients and outpatients with hearing and related difficulties at medical center locations and contract sites.
