Cyngn About Cyngn

Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.

Cyngn is a publicly-traded autonomous technology company based in Mountain View, CA. We deploy self-driving industrial vehicles like forklifts and tuggers to factories, warehouses, and other facilities throughout North America. To build this emergent technology, we are looking for innovative, motivated, and experienced leaders to join us and move this field forward. If you like to build, tinker, and create with a team of trusted and passionate colleagues, then Cyngn is the place for you. Key reasons to join Cyngn:

We are small and big, with under 100 employees and publicly-traded equity. We build today and deploy tomorrow, with real clients and tangible impact. We aren’t robots, but a welcoming, diverse team of sharp thinkers and kind humans. About This Role

As a Senior NPI Engineer, you will lead all aspects of hardware operations — from supplier management and contract manufacturing to production readiness and field support campaigns. You will own supplier quality and relationships, drive cost reduction initiatives, manage BOMs and change control, and build the operational processes that will scale the company as we move into production and deployment. Responsibilities:

Own supplier, OEM, and contract manufacturer relationships at an operational level. Lead purchasing strategy, sourcing, and negotiation to support both production and R&D efforts. Develop alternative suppliers to reduce costs and improve supply chain robustness. Own supplier quality management, establish MSAs, warranty plans, and quality agreements. Manage BOM health, structure, and change control across engineering and production. Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for field hardware support and service operations. Oversee hardware upgrade programs for fielded pre-production units and manage shipments of replacement hardware. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, production ramp, and cost-down efforts. Own logistics and deployment for sales demo fleet and new fielded units. Build out the operational processes and infrastructure to support scaling production and field operations. Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain management, or manufacturing program leadership. Proven track record of managing contract manufacturers and suppliers for complex electro-mechanical systems (robotics, automotive, aerospace, or similar). Deep experience with BOM management, engineering change control, and configuration management. Skilled negotiator with experience establishing MSAs, warranty agreements, and supplier quality processes. Experience scaling from prototype to production, including NPI and cost-reduction initiatives. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate across engineering, production, and service functions. Strong process builder — able to create structure and systems that scale with company growth. Excellent communication and leadership skills with a bias for action and hands-on problem-solving. Benefits & Perks:

Health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA and FSA (Health & Dependent Daycare), Employee Assistance Program, 1:1 Health Concierge) Life, Short-term and long-term disability insurance (Cyngn funds 100% of premiums) Company 401(k) Commuter Benefits Flexible vacation policy Sabbatical leave opportunity after 5 years with the company Paid Parental Leave Daily lunches for in-office employees and fully-stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages Monthly meal and tech allowances for remote employees Salary: $160,000 - $172,600 a year
