About this Position:
Lead, create, and implement innovative technical activities and solutions in Mass Production, Business Plan, and New Model areas to efficiently meet or exceed Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SEQDCM) targets.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure shared understanding and alignment of quality objectives
- Review and analyze daily reports to identify quality issues and system gaps, developing countermeasures and conducting root cause analyses for continuous improvement
- Utilize data analysis and PDCA to lead and support cross-departmental problem solving for complex manufacturing challenges
- Monitor and manage product and process performance to optimize quality and reduce operational costs
- Develop capabilities of self and colleagues through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing
- Establish priorities and make data-driven decisions to effectively accomplish business objectives
- Manage project implementation, schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion and target achievement
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance quality systems and operational effectiveness
- Manage scrap trends, CSI, and NCPD activities to meet quality flow and scrap reduction targets
Who we are seeking:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, etc.)
Required Experience:
2 or more years of experience depending on education level
Strong communication, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills; demonstrated leadership and project management experience; ability to multi-task and implement data-driven countermeasures effectively
Decision Expected
- Determine and execute daily countermeasures for product quality concerns
- Develop strategies to meet daily and long-term quality targets aligned with company initiatives
- Evaluate and justify business planning needs, resource allocations, and schedule adjustments to improve product quality
Additional Position Factors:
Work occurs in both office (50%) and manufacturing environments (50%) requiring appropriate PPE and lockout procedures. Involves hands-on troubleshooting, tool and equipment use, and interaction with automation and gauging systems. May include exposure to hydraulic oils, lubricants, and metal materials.
Typical overtime ranges from 5–15 hours per week, with possible weekend or off-shift support as needed. Domestic and occasional international travel (approximately 5%) required.
