As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances and exits, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and utilize technology such as alarm panels and access control systems. • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and client protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activities observed during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed during emergency response activities.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures to maintain the security-related integrity of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
