Staff Assistant
(Ice Center)
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualifies candidates for Staff Assistant in the Ice Center. The Staff Assistant reports directly to the Ice Center Operations Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages staff assigned to skate rental shop and other building services.
Manages open skates and other public events.
Directs activity of on-duty ice guards and security personnel.
Manages ice sheet systems and related Ice Center systems.
Directs and monitors all groups renting ice time.
Operates ice cleaning equipment.
Off ice event setups and event supervision.
Cash control.
Performs other related duties as assigned which may include activity in other college facilities.
*Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Associate's Degree with the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Additional training and education in the applicable administrative field is desirable.
One year of experience working in an educational institution or in a related administrative function is desired.
Human services experience or additional experience with any of the functional responsibilities of the position is preferred.
Ability to drive large motorized vehicles.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Additional Information:
The minimum salary for this position is $51,361. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
