3rd Shift Material Handler Driver!
JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane, truck/tractor trailer, forklift/tow motor to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down. Observe and make sure that the load is safely attached and within the lifting limits. They keep equipment clean and well maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / SKILL / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Equipment Operation
Operate forklifts, tow motors, and trucks of various sizes and weights for loading, unloading, and hauling Drive and operate equipment in various weather conditions Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner, using seatbelts, headlights, horns, and built-in safety devices Equipment Maintenance & Inspection
Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance before, during, and after operation Identify defects or needed repairs Maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment as directed Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety precautions and company safety policies Adhere to established company attendance policies Overtime is an essential function of the position Communication & Teamwork
Follow verbal and written instructions Establish working relationships with employees and supervisors Work independently and as part of a team General Duties
Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations Material Handler II.
The following duties listed above in addition to:
Training & Certification
Crane operators will have in-house certification training Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings Equipment Operation
Drive and operate crane equipment under varying working conditions Maintain a good safety record while operating equipment Demonstrate working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations Safety & Compliance
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures Report problems to Blue Hat, Supervisor, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs Overtime is an essential function of this position Communication & Teamwork
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations Material Handler I.

Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles Communication & Professionalism
Maintain a good channel of communication with other workers, on shift as well as off shift Communicate essential information to co-workers, vendors, and supervisors while maintaining professional integrity WORK CONDITIONS:
Environment is that of a heavy industrial worksite Outdoor elements are a factor. Extreme weather conditions such as heat and cold Exposure to air particles such as dust and chemicals Exposure to loud, penetrating noises in some work areas Proper personal protective equipment is required such as, steel toed or metatarsal boots, ear plugs/earmuffs, safety glasses, pants, and hard hats This is a safety-sensitive position. A safety sensitive job or position is where the employee holding the position has, at any time during his or her employment, the responsibility for his or her own safety or the safety of others EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the marine, or steel fabrication industry High school diploma or GED required Ability to work well under minimal supervision
