Job Description
Drives gasoline or diesel-powered delivery vehicles, occasionally long distances, but within a 100 air mile radius, to transport and deliver equipment or materials in loose or packaged form. Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition as needed. Assists workers in loading and unloading truck.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Receives and follows oral or written instructions to output completed projects. • Operates tractor trailer combination or other commercial vehicles to transport and deliver equipment or material. • Inspects vehicles and performs general trouble shooting and maintenance of vehicles as required. • Operates ratchet straps and/or chains and binders to secure load to trailer for transport. • Applies knowledge of understanding and training to inspect material at this phase for completeness and conformity to company requirements. • Obeys all laws applicable to commercial vehicle operation as regulated by Federal, State and local authorities.
Job Requirements
CDL Class A driver's license Ability to pass, as required, a CDL Physical administered by the company physician to maintain safe operation and retain license classification Experience
Minimum one year of oilfield CDL driving experience. Hazmat Endorsement
