Key Responsibilities:
Lead all plant-level accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting. Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports with insightful commentary on variances and trends. Partner with plant leadership to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyze manufacturing variances and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies. Support SAP (S/4HANA) implementation and ongoing ERP optimization. Supervise and develop plant accounting staff, including performance management and training. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, HR) to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement. Monitor and manage inventory accuracy, waste reduction, and cost-saving opportunities. Serve as the financial liaison between the plant and corporate finance. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis. Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA strongly preferred) and advanced Excel skills. Experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing is highly desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work onsite full-time and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
