Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA)

Security Manager , you will help nurture a safe, welcoming, and healing environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors. This leadership role balances strong safety practices with compassion, ensuring that every person who enters our doors feels respected, supported, and secure.
What You'll Do:
As the
Security Manager , you will:
Lead and supervise our security team, ensuring consistent safety practices across all clinic locations. Develop and uphold policies, emergency response procedures, and training programs for staff. Coordinate with Tribal Police and local agencies to maintain a secure, respectful environment. Oversee surveillance, access control, and alarm systems, ensuring facilities remain safe and functional. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and address safety concerns. Partner with leadership and the Safety Committee on preparedness drills, fire safety, OSHA compliance, and other key initiatives. Be a visible, approachable presence across clinic sites-supporting not just safety, but trust and community connection. What You Bring:
HS Diploma
or
GED Five (5) years of progressive experience
in Security Officer roles Two (2) years of supervisory
experience Current
CPR and First Aid
certification Valid WA State driver's license with clean record and ability to travel between sites Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance, and access control technology Preferred:
Security experience in a healthcare setting Preferred:
Experience working in an Indigenous Tribal community Preferred:
Training in unarmed defense tactics, use of force, pepper spray, or baton certification Why PTHA?
