If you’re a team player who is comfortable using intraoral digital scanners and eager to grow in the field of digital dentistry, we want to hear from you! Our dental office is busy and growing with a need for a dedicated assistant to work with our dentists and hygienists to provide exemplary dental care for our patients.

Our ideal candidate has 2-3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care in records. Keep patient information confidential
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow infection control policies
• Assist the team as needed. Perform other assigned duties
• Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during an appointment
• Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
• Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
• Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
• Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed

Qualifications

• X-ray Certification and Coronal Polishing are required
• Eaglesoft program experience preferred but any software knowledge is good
• Able to use sound judgment, calm disposition and the ability to work easily with people
• Active BLS/CPR certification is required
• Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred
• 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant
• Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
• Computer skills and experience with dental software and updating patient histories is needed

Compensation

$57,500 - $62,000 yearly
