About The Role
Are you a payroll expert ready to lead and improve complex payroll operations across multiple sites? We’re seeking the
Payroll Manager
to oversee the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple PAYE schemes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for 1600+ employees (weekly & salaried).
Supervise and develop a dedicated payroll team.
Ensure full compliance with all payroll-related legislation, tax rules, and audit requirements.
Liaise with HMRC and handle queries related to PAYE, CIS, BIK, etc.
Partner closely with HR and Finance to align payroll with compensation, benefits, and reporting needs.
Lead payroll audits and ensure robust controls are embedded.
Continuously monitor and respond to changes in legislation, driving system and policy updates.
Own and evolve KPI reporting, using data to improve performance.
Lead or support projects across HR, payroll, and employee benefits.
About You Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience in payroll, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g. ADP, SAP, Workday, Paycom, etc.).
In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
Excellent Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting tools.
Experience managing payroll across multiple PAYE entities.
CPP or equivalent qualification (preferred).
