Overview

Phlebotomy Tech II at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Lab: Outreach Services. Location: Winston-Salem, NC. Schedule: M-F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one hour lunch. Hours per week: 40. Pay range: $19.45 – $29.20. Employment type: Full-time. Benefits Eligible: Yes.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens for clinical laboratories.
• Function as an intermediary between the patient, patient caregivers, and the laboratories.
• Assure proper specimen collection and identification in compliance with section policies and procedures.
• Perform appropriate patient procedures in accordance with age-specific guidelines for the age groups served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification from an accredited phlebotomy training program that includes: ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent certification; completion of a certification exam with passing scores.
• CPR Certification.
• Preferred: Two-year age-appropriate phlebotomy experience.
