Overview

A Bartender will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality beverages to members and their guests, maintaining the elevated service standards of the Club. The Bartender will anticipate members' needs, ensure prompt and accurate service, and create a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing friendly, personalized interactions that enhance the overall member experience. This position is temporary, beginning from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, and averages 20-30 hours per week based on business needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as a team player with all Club staff.
  • Prepare and serve beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to Club recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all beverage offerings, including wine, beer, and cocktail menus, along with preparation techniques.
  • Responsible for taking food and drink orders in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Stay informed of daily specials and effectively communicate them to members.
  • Ensure the bar area remains clean, organized, and stocked, including glassware, garnishes, and other supplies.
  • Follow standard safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
  • Monitor member and guest satisfaction and address issues promptly and professionally.
  • Process member checks accurately, following Club billing policies.
  • Maintain open communication with Front and Back of House staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations established in the employee handbook and Club policies.
  • Recognize and resolve any potential safety or maintenance issues, notifying management when necessary.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area for Club events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.

Other Duties

  • Knowledge of Club Offerings.
  • Thorough understanding of the Club’s membership documents, programming, and general offering to members.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and dress appropriately for an upscale athletic and social club.
  • Personal and professional conduct ethical and consistent with the vision of the Club.
  • Promote goodwill and positive energy throughout the membership and staff.
