Role Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective oversight of daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, LGV management and operation, and team supervision. This role ensures timely and accurate completion of tasks critical to the warehouse’s performance, monitors processes, provides hands-on support, and acts with urgency and efficiency to troubleshoot issues.
Accountabilities & Impact
Operational Execution
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Oversee LGV operations, ensuring safety and operational standards.
- Maintain daily workflow efficiency and ensure warehouse tasks are completed on schedule.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and support warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular team briefings to align on priorities and address issues.
Process Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Act as a first responder to disruptions, ensuring quick resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA regulations, and other safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Participate in or lead Kaizen, Lean, or other improvement projects.
- Track and report KPIs such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and inventory variance.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to management on warehouse performance and issues.
- Maintain clear documentation of incidents, resolutions, and process changes.
- Support cross-departmental communication to align on logistics and priorities.
Skills & Experiences Needed
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience required and forklift certification.
- Proficiency with MS Office, WMS systems, Teams, and email; experience with WMS platforms.

Working Conditions
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Based in a warehouse; exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and physical activity.
- Shift work including days, evenings, overnight shifts, up to 12 hours.
- Standing, walking, bending for extended periods; ability to ascend/descend stairs or ladders.
- Occasional operation or supervision of LGVs and other warehouse equipment.
- Occasional office work for reporting, planning, and coordination.
- Must wear PPE (e.g., bump cap, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, masks or PAPRs).
- Must adhere to GMPs.
