Position: Heavy Equipment Operator at Nestlé Purina North America — King William, VA.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to 40-ton articulating haul truck, front end loader, skid steer, excavator, water truck, and dozers.
• Perform safety checks, operate, troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform lubrication on equipment.
• Communicate with other operators, departments, and with supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety policies and all regulatory, factory and divisional safety standards.
• Operate and maintain mining equipment to ensure a smooth flow of clay from the mine to the processing department.
• Perform basic facility grounds maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, and loaders

Other

• Virginia DMME Mine Foreman certification (or ability to acquire)

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $35.00. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
