Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating off-road heavy, mobile equipment (such as Material Handler, Loader, Water Truck, E-Crane). May also operate crushing and screening equipment. All work performed in a steel mill environment. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform and record routine mobile equipment pre-start and post inspections
• Complete required activity reports
• Follow all policies and rules of the company and the customer
• Maintain a high level of safety and abide by all safe work requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as listed above in a steel mill environment
• Conduct pre-start and post-inspections and report findings
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies
• Complete required activity reports in a timely manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator
• Ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather and elevated areas
• Good communication skills and ability to read operating instructions
• Proactive in safety and able to work well in a team
