Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description

Operator's primary function is to operate backhoes, Dozers, graders, etc... to help with all aspects of the grading operation, work roads, and locations. All equipment operators are expected to run other equipment such as Bulldozers and loaders as needed. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

• Dig and cover pits for wells
• Responsible for the safe operation of digging in all conditions
• Shoveling dirt, gravel, and asphalt
• Work roads and locations
• Clean up around facilities and make firewalls
• Able to dig slopes when needed
• Report any unsafe condition, accident or injury to crew leader
• Performs any other duties from time to time as may be assigned by the crew leader
• Maintenance of all equipment and tools
