HallKeen is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will support the Director of Human Resources in developing, implementing, and coordinating HR policies and programs across all company locations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of HR practices, benefit administration, and accounting skills to ensure compliance and efficiency in our operations.
Job Description
Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Corporate Office, Norwood MA 02062
Hours: Full-time 35 hours a week
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of HR in managing HR policies and programs related to employment, training, compensation, safety, and employee services.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, benefits, and conflict resolution.
- Manage Benefits Administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, 401k Administration, Leave of Absence administration, and annual open enrollment.
- Assist with compliance requirements, regulatory reporting, plan audits, and tax filings.
- Support payroll and accounting functions, including GL reconciliation and payroll processing as needed.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, job postings, onboarding, and benefit enrollment for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.).
- Investigate and mediate employee complaints.
- Handle workers’ compensation claims and audits.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent professional experience of five years; minimum of three years in HR role. Strong accounting skills, including GL reconciliation and payroll support. Experience managing employee benefits, 401(k), and leave of absence programs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Experience with conflict resolution and supporting organizational change.
