Responsibilities
- As an Operations Generalist, ensure merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes, ensuring efficient and effective operations to meet guest and pet needs.
- Work the truck, stock shelves, clean the Pet Care Center, operate the cash register, and provide an excellent guest experience.
- Exhibit a passion for animal welfare and be a positive partner within the Pet Care Center team.
- Maintain and inventory across the entire Pet Care Center; ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed for a great guest presentation.
- Process register transactions to create a great guest experience.
- Be proficient in the selling model and support guest interactions as needed.
- Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of role expertise.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned and evaluate guest inquiries with leadership guidance as needed.

- Utilize selling behaviors to provide an amazing guest experience within Pet Care locations and identify and solve guest needs today and in the future.
- Contribute to a safe environment by maintaining safety protocols; the safety of partners, guests and pets is a top priority.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience (GED accepted).
- Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
- Demonstrated professional appearance and genuine interest in animals and their care.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills due to interactions with the public, partners, and leaders in the store.
Education/Skills
In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exceptional communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
- None
Work Environment
The majority of job duties are indoors. Some tasks require leaving the store briefly for merchandise receiving, carry-out, or restocking. This role involves bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 pounds as necessary), and standing for long periods. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required to meet store needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay ranges are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations and may differ by location. Actual pay rates depend on position, location, experience, and applicable minimum wage laws.
