SSC Services For Education is hiring: JANITOR (PART TIME) in Rockwood

Overview

We are hiring immediately for part-time JANITOR positions. Location: Roane County Schools - 512 West Rockwood Street, Rockwood, TN 37854. Online applications accepted only. Schedule: part-time; Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Pay Range: $10.00 to $12.00 per hour. No prior experience is required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings clean and orderly. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp-mop floors; move equipment and furniture as needed and return to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks; complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines; may include floors, carpet cleaning, and refinishing as required.
• Contribute to the team and maintain professionalism with customers and fellow employees.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required. Willing to train.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
