Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights and assist with tasks as needed such as patient bed mobility and transfers, assist with toileting activities and hygiene, assist patients in dining group, complete EKG, bladder scan, phlebotomy, vital signs, etc. Training provided.
• Full time and per diem availability with 12 hour shifts (8am–8:30pm) and weekend/holiday rotations.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records for patients using appropriate labeling systems.
• Transcribe medical orders accurately and distribute to other disciplines as needed.
• Serve as a helpful resource for patients, families, physicians, and visitors at the nursing station.
• Coordinate unit operations to optimize the delivery of safe patient care.
• Schedule tests, appointments, and transportation as needed in a timely manner.
• Act as a liaison for inquiries, directing them to the appropriate person for resolution.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• One year of inpatient unit secretary experience preferred.
• Active enrollment in a healthcare program (such as nursing), familiarity with medical terminology, and experience reading and transcribing medical orders are preferred.
