Cybersecurity Compliance Test Engineer LOCATION: Full-Time CERTIFICATIONS: Must meet DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Foundational Qualification Requirements TRAVEL: 30% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Compliance Test Engineer for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 48 CTS / TGEB. Our cybersecurity test team is searching for new members to support the 48th Cyber Space Test Squadron (48 CTS) at Eglin AFB, FL. The 48th CTS provides a range of cybersecurity support to both the United States Air and Space Forces. Applicants should be able to help conduct compliance testing and conduct security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities. We provide several opportunities to learn ranging from on-the-job training with other team members to formal courses for unique technology areas. We are looking for people that can bring a strong foundation in one of the listed areas and are motivated to learn the others. Position responsibilities can span from compliance testing to penetration testing, depending on the skillset. This position provides support to the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Eglin AFB and does include travel to meet 48th CTS mission requirements. Travel can be up to 30% of the time and mostly includes travel within the United States but may include travel overseas. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS • Technical Bachelor's Degree and at least 3-10 years of applicable experience. Must be a US Citizen. • Active Secret clearance is required and must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. • Must meet DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Foundational Qualification requirements prior to the commencement of work. • Passionate about cybersecurity and delivering products that exceed expectations. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision. • Travel up to 15-20 weeks per year, potentially to worldwide sites.   DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS • Knowledge in the Cybersecurity Assess and Authorize (A&A) process to support DoD acquisition programs through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process • Knowledge of DoD acquisition process • Experience in cybersecurity testing and/or leading cyber test events. • Proficient in Windows and Linux Operating System. • Understanding of network security/engineering. • Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures. • Develop test strategies for cybersecurity testing on DoD systems. • Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing direction and guidance as needed. • Implement testing policies and procedures that align with Air Force cybersecurity policies and standards. • Attend meetings with customers to help test team prepare for events. • Document and communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups in written and oral formats in a timely and effective manner. • Conduct independent compliance assessments, data collection, test automation, and reporting. • Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify cyber vulnerabilities. • Execute hands-on testing which includes significant technical skills with multiple operating systems.
