Overview
Delivery Driver position at The Parts Authority. We have immediate career opportunities in our rapidly expanding division. Company vehicle provided. Hourly rate: $15.00.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes and time schedules, use route navigation apps, and know the area to deliver packages on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at the customer’s location.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns from customers.
- Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debt and credit, and manage moneys collected related to deliveries where applicable.
- Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify the manager of any issues if applicable.
- Assist in other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets when required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:- Current, valid driver’s license
- Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs)
- Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
- Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture
- Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; professional, tactful, and diplomatic
- Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred)
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
- You must meet all minimum Requirements and Qualifications to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority
