Overview

Dock Worker / Forklift Operator, Part-time — ABF Freight. Dock Workers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers, moving cargo, operating a forklift or pallet jack, and handling related paperwork and mobile technology efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate mobile technology.
• Move cargo and drive a forklift or use pallet jacks/other freight handling equipment.
• Load and unload trailers for transporting a wide variety of cargo.
• Prepare freight for transit.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Adhere to the Equipment - Preventive Maintenance Program for all ABF equipment.
• Note: Actual duties and schedule may vary by terminal location.

Requirements

• This is a casual position; must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and on an as-needed basis.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Stable work history and good safety record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and post-offer company physical.
• Shift days and hours vary by location; ability to work required hours at this location is a minimum requirement.

Work Details

• Schedule may vary by Service Center location.
• Minimal travel required (0-25%).
• Compensation: hourly position paid weekly.
