A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTODIAN

As a Custodian for the YMCA, you will keep the building and property clean, well-functioning, and problem free. You will need to have the ability to fix and clean the assigned areas. Custodians are what keep assigned areas clean, up-to-date, and ready for the children, staff, and clients every day.

Qualifications For a Custodian

• At least 18 years of age
• Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a physical
• Ability to acquire appropriate certifications within 90 days
• Love for a community environment

WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for our Custodian position is 15 hours per week - evenings.
