Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Overview

The Custodian Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and machine shop work areas in all facilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all facilities floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Uses brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners as required.
• Cleans equipment in the machine shop area.
• Services, cleans and stocks restrooms and kitchen areas.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and sponges.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Uses and properly labels all chemicals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

• 1-3 years of work experience
• Proven working experience as a janitor
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods
• Integrity and ability to work independently
