Overview

We’re looking for a Part-Time Welding Instructor to lead a hands-on training program for our shop and field employees. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder or welding educator who enjoys mentoring others and can commit to one weekend day per month. No formal curriculum is required — just practical instruction in STICK (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), or TIG (GTAW) welding. Once the instructor feels an employee is ready, we’ll test them in that area.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, in-person welding instruction at our facility
• Provide hands-on training in STICK, MIG, or TIG welding
• Emphasize safety and proper equipment use
• Recommend when employees are ready for skill testing
• Work with HR and Safety to ensure training aligns with company standards

Qualifications

• Strong welding experience (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW preferred)
• Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a plus
• Clear communication and patience with varying skill levels
• Ability to work independently and adapt instruction as needed
