Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The Dental Hyg hygienist plays a vital role in helping patients develop and maintain good oral health through preventive care, education, and clinical treatment. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient-centered care and community health.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Apply preventive agents such as sealants and fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and long-term dental health
• Maintain accurate dental records in the EHR, including treatment plans and recall systems

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Current and active Missouri Dental Hygiene License required
• Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring certification preferred
• Previous experience in dental hygiene services, with knowledge of devices, equipment, and preventive care best practices
