Dental Hygienist Job at Western Dental & Orthodontics in Town of Florida

We are looking for an enthusiastic dental hygienist who loves building and maintaining positive relationships with patients to join our team. Our team of dental hygienists perform a variety of preventative dental procedures and educate patients on oral hygiene. From routine cleanings to oral health education, you\'ll help patients achieve and maintain their best smiles. The dental hygienist will also teach patients appropriate oral hygiene techniques and offer counseling regarding good nutrition and its impact on oral health. We work in a collaborative environment with the dentist(s) in the office and a dedicated dental hygiene support team for coaching and mentorship. Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventive agents such as fluorides and sealants
• Accurately chart and review patient dental history, periodontal health, document treatments, and handle patient records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by the dental practice act

Qualifications

• A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Ability to manage time efficiently
• Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
• Ability to travel between locations preferred
