Description:
This position serves all Raleigh Radiology offices located in Wake County, NC, and surrounding areas.
The combined role of Courier & Facilities/Maintenance supports both the operational and logistical needs of the organization by:

  • Transport and deliver parcels, packages, medical media, and records across multiple locations, including Raleigh Radiology sites and affiliates, as needed by means of your personal vehicle.
  • Coordinating building and equipment maintenance and facility projects.
  • Serving as a liaison with property managers and clinical staff to ensure smooth facility operations.
Major Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Courier Responsibilities
  • Deliver and pick up parcels, films, CDs, letters, and other items between Raleigh Radiology facilities, WakeMed, outside referring offices, the billing office, and other designated locations securely by means of your personal vehicle, following proper handling and policies and procedures.
  • Drive safely and maintain a routine schedule to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient health information (PHI).
  • Assist with moving small equipment between offices as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety, a valid driving record, and full insurance coverage.
  • Report issues promptly to management and follow Raleigh Radiology policies.
  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Coordinate service requests and preventative maintenance for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems, and ensure work orders are completed and documented.
  • Work with property managers for exterior/common area needs.
  • Oversee general upkeep, including toilets, small projects, and cosmetic repairs.
  • Manage relationships with service vendors and use as needed (HVAC, Plumbers)
  • Assist in coordinating inspections for compliance with fire, safety, and building codes.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Report unsafe equipment, incidents, or unusual occurrences per department policy, and may be asked to assist in corrective measures.
  • Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and all organizational safety and regulatory requirements during courier and facilities work.
  • Update and oversee fire, disaster, and emergency response plans as needed.
  • Keep a valid and clean driving record. Ensure facilities and equipment meet safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Other Duties
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient, staff, and facility information.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to ensure smooth practice operations
Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE:
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required. Experience in general handyman or maintenance responsibilities preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must maintain current auto insurance coverage meeting minimum state liability requirements
